Three Courses Anyone?

Three Courses Anyone?

Who doesn't get excited about a three course meal? The whole appetizer, the entree, and dessert situation is fancy AF. So, people, let's take that same enthusiasm and apply it to our exercise. Warm Up, Exercise, and then Stretch. AND YES A GOOD STRETCH IS AS GOOD AS DESSERT. K thanks.

THE WARM UP 👊🏽
Here's a simple routine to get muscles pumping before the official start of leg day. 2 rounds of 12 reps should do the trick. (take your time, video is sped up)
➖ Standing Hip Circles (use support if needed)
➖ Single Leg Deadlifts (no weight, use support if needed)
➖ Side Lunges
➖ Yogi Squat Stretch (heels on a plate or mat if you can't make it down)
➖ Standing Hip ABDuction (use cables or bands)
➖ Standing Hip Flexion (use cables or bands)
➖ Banded Lateral Walks (lower band is harder)

THE COOL DOWN ✳️
A super quick and super effective stretch routine to finish off leg days. Hold each stretch for at least 90 seconds to really get those hips open.
➖ Lizard Lunge with progressions. Start on your hands and knees, bring your right foot to the outside of your right hand. Want more? Straighten the back leg. Need more? Go down to your elbows. But if you're feeling it on the first variation, stay there it's cool man. Repeat on the left.
➖ Frog Pose with progressions. Open your hips wide, place the knees and legs down. Your feet should be pointed outwards. Want more? Go down to your elbows.
Remember don't bounce around or wiggle, just hold relax and find that happy place. Or just play dots, that's my go to 😉
